Ok, before I tear up...this is my personal favorite wedding. Not because the bride is gorgeous or the groom is wearing my favorite colored suit, but...because this is my sister in law. I have known Jessica since she was 10. She used to do mundane chores for me (like cool my quarters), she used to play soccer with her hands on her hips, she let me put her makeup on for prom and serve her and her guests a delicious home cooked meal before hand. I have seen her through awesome times, strange boys and heartbreak. So when she said she was dating a new boy and that he drove an old cop car....I was suspicious and highly protective of my little Jesse. Fortunately, that was not a big deal for her, so it wasn't for me...kind of ;) I met Jacob the day before the wedding and couldn't have been more thrilled of her selection of the boy she wanted to be with forever. What a blessing it is to add another and FINAL member to our family (besides babies) and what a blessing it was for me and my other sister in law Amy to photograph the wedding. We got to see moments of the day that nobody else got to see. The quiet moments before the I do's....the sweet few minutes spent pinning grandmothers rings on the inside of her dress. It was a "magical" day and I couldn't narrow down, so...enjoy being a part of Jessie and Jacobs BIG, magical day :)
We had the honor of photographing Ashley and Jon's wedding this summer. We couldn't have been any more excited to photograph this wedding. Ashley and Jon were a couple that we met MONTHS before the wedding and stayed in contact with up until the day....adjusting schedules, getting excited about the dress and just the to die for location as well. Flying Diamond is one of the best venues in town and we were thrilled to step on that property several times this summer. Ashley and Jon's wedding was amazing, filled with laughter, the cutest details and an incredible family to boot. Congrats to A&J!!!!
Venue: Flying Diamond
Cake table: Cupcake Mini Bar
Dance moves: a seriously cute 2 year old ;)
Ok, we are beyond THRILLED!!!! The Knot reached out to us to feature a sweet engagement we photographed in the snow. It was a beautiful surprise proposal that Matthew planned for months! Congrats to Haley and Matthew on their engagement and almost wedding and Congrats to SEEDHOUSE Photography!!! We are honored to be featured in the #1 wedding magazine on the shelves!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!
We had the HUGE honor of photographing Matthew's proposal to the lovely Haley! What we loved about this proposal was how organized Matthew was. He contacted us in October for a March proposal. Men, take note....awesome! It was an unseasonably warm day here in Steamboat Springs Colorado. A balmy 45 degrees at sunset and a gorgeous couple made our job very easy. We had scouted out the location weeks prior to make sure we were hiding, but able to see all the activity and when we arrived, the snow had melted where we were going to be standing and had to resort to plan B. We changed locations, looked at the clock, 6 o'clock...perfect, 30 minutes left to dig a hole in the snow and REALLY hide. SIKE! We looked up and saw the private sleigh coming over the horizon...."GET IN POSITION!!!" Quickly we got in our spots as the sleigh arrived carrying a beautiful couple being drawn by magnificent horses...magical. As they got out of the sleigh, Matthew stopped Haley for a quick photo in front of the horses and then got into position. We couldn't hear what he was saying, but it must have been so sweet judging by the look and response from Haley. She was smitten, giddy and in SHOCK. Nicely done Matthew. Such an amazing proposal!!!
We always LOVE details. You spent SO much time putting together your day that we want to photograph every piece of it down to the pens used for the signing of the guest book. These details are important to you so they are important to us.
We LOVE bridal shoots. A bridal shoot is when the bride comes out with us 2 weeks before the wedding for photographs of just her. A chance to try on the dress, do your makeup and hair, make sure the shoes are broken in a little and time to hang out together before the wedding. A bride told us it's made her feel beautiful..just us photographing her. It's such a fun time! These are images edited with VSCO polaroid. Such fun!!! And details of the rings! :)
Seedhouse Photography is traveling!! We love CA sun and had an opportunity to photograph the lovely Steve and Amber in Pasadena CA this past holiday season. It was a great night traipsing through downtown to find just the right spots....more like chasing the light is what we were doing. It was great fun! Congrats to Steve and Amber as you begin your married journey together!!
2015 for Seedhouse Photography was EXCITING!!! We opened our doors after a year of conversation of "how cool would it be to work with each other on weddings!!". We adore weddings and working with each other that it was a no brainer to start Seedhouse Photography and open all kinds of possibilities! Weddings to us are the start of a couples journey TOGETHER. We value the commitment made on the wedding day and have a little fun in the process. We are super grateful to all the brides and grooms that opened their arms to us last year and we anticipate another wonderful year FULL of AWESOME weddings. Cheers to 2015! You were the BEST!
The day started with crazy gusts of wind and white caps on the Catamount lake in Steamboat Springs CO. We were waiting on pins and needles waiting for the Colorado weather to let up and the wedding to begin. Wedding party photos had started in the rain and we were crossing our fingers for the clouds to part and the sun to grace us with it's presence. 20 minutes before the wedding began, the clouds blew out and the sun shown in all it's glory. Heidi and James's wedding was just perfection. The gorgeous couple walked with confidence up and down that aisle, having committed their lives to one another as friends and family witnessed their love and devotion to each other. What a day it was. Happiness and pure joy....that was the day. Congrats to Heidi and James.....a lifetime of happiness and love to you both. Mazel Tov!
We are so blessed to do our job. We take great pride in posing/engaging and loving on our clients. Thank you Steamboat for being Seedhouse Photography's backdrop and a HUGE thank you to all of our clients so far in 2015...we are grateful!
What can we say about Kat & Billy's wedding.....for starters it was a gorgeous day, classic dress, amazing family and friends surrounding K&B with so much love and support and the best mashed potato bar this side of the Rockies. Apple pie for the "cutting of the cake", each bridesmaid from different states and the greatest groomsmen a groom could ask for. It was the perfect day to celebrate Kat and Billy. Congrats to the happy couple and a lifetime of happiness as they begin their journey together as husband and wife. YAHOO!!!
We could not have been more thrilled to have photographed Ian and Elizabeth's elopement this Sept. They are just the CUTEST couple ever. Full of so much joy and life, we had the best time with them playing in the fall foliage in Steamboat Springs. Thank you so much Biz and Ian, we hope Steamboat is a wonderful place to begin your journey together. Love to you both!
We had the un-real honor of photographing Jackie and Brandon's wedding this year. The wedding was held at the lovely, rustic, right on the water location of E3 Chophouse, which is where Brandon is a chef. Rain was threatening us all day, but we overcame and ran when we needed to...dodged rain clouds left and right and by the end of the day realized everything was so properly timed (around the rain ;)). The gorgeous couple opted for a first look which afforded them time to mingle and time to enjoy cocktails with their family and friends. Thank you Brandon and Jackie for having us photograph your amazing wedding!
Happy Anniversary to Libby and Brad!!! They are such an incredible couple and we are coming up on their 1 year anniversary!! Brad grew up coming to Steamboat Springs, CO, so it was only natural and fitting to have Libby come exchange lovely vows together in holy matrimony. They were married on a beautiful crisp September day. The trees were in full fall bloom and the evening light was dreamy and magical. The Bella Vista in Steamboat Springs was the best venue to host such an intimate ceremony for such lovely couple. As family and friends arrived, the day unfolded into a gorgeous fall glow day that ended with dancing under the stars. Thank you to Brad and Libby for having us capture your day. Happy Anniversary!!! Cheers (clink clink)
